Hours and hours of hard work and dedication all for a ribbon placing The 48th Annual Morton County Fair kicked off their 4-day run with the 4-H General Achievement Days About 200 4-Her s are in New Salem showcasing their projects More than 30 different categories are on display Pets quilting baking and photography are just to name a few Youth are getting a first-hand experience of what interviews are really like meeting with judges and telling them everything they know about their projects April Hintz Photography Contestant You get used to interviewing and then when you go out like I went to college this year then it is so much easier when you have to do an interview for a job or to get into a program for school it is so much easier after just interviewing and they are not judgemental none of the judges are like here to bash you in They are like this is what you did good and it is so encouraging just to come Layn Mudder Photography Judge I am not necessarily looking for technical aspect of what they know and stuff like that I am more interested in what they learned and why they shot it that way and stuf like that So I am more interested in how much fun they have with it If you d like to see some of the 4-Hers hard workmany of the projects will be on display at the fair through Sunday
